Grounded Therapy
for Real Life

For adults looking for a steadier place to be themselves and to explore the patterns that keep showing up. I offer person-centred, strength-based psychotherapy online and by phone across Ontario, and in nature near Kimberley, shaped around your responsibilities, energy, and season of life.

You Might Be Here Because...

Something feels heavy, stuck, or harder than it should right now.

Stress, Anxiety, and Feeling Worn Thin

You’ve been carrying a lot for a long time, and it’s starting to wear on your mind, body, and capacity.

Patterns That Keep Showing Up

The same loops in relationships, work, or self‑talk keep returning.

Change, Loss, or Transition

Something has shifted, and it’s affecting you more deeply than you expected.

Being the One Who Holds a Lot

You’re used to getting through things, but you don’t want to keep carrying it all alone.

You don’t have to fit a neat label or have the perfect words — we can start with what feels most present and workable, and use therapy as a steadier place to sort through what feels like a lot to carry on your own.

How We’ll Work Together

Grounded therapy that we co‑create at a pace that fits around the life you’re already living.

""

Human and Collaborative

A space to talk honestly, feel understood, and make sense of things without judgment or pressure.

Mind and Body Aware

Attention to what’s showing up in your thoughts, feelings, and body - with online and nature‑supported options.

At a Pace That Feels Workable

We’ll keep checking in on pace and focus so therapy supports your real life, not the other way around.

Areas of Support

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Here are some of the themes I most often support people with:

""

When worry, overthinking, or a steady sense of unease starts to take up too much space.

""

When the pressure has been building for too long and you feel mentally, emotionally, or physically worn down.

""

For times when you feel wired, flat, or easily overwhelmed, and want practical ways to support your body and mind in daily life.

For relationship struggles, patterns that keep repeating, and the emotional impact of feeling distant, stuck, or unsure with people who matter to you.

""

For working with self‑criticism, rebuilding self‑trust, and practicing kinder ways of relating to yourself.

""

For navigating changes in work, relationships, family, or season of life, and making sense of who you are within those shifts.

""

For feeling stretched between work and the rest of your life, struggling to set limits, or feeling unsure about your next steps in your career.

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Meet Cinzia Arcuri

RECE, M.Ed, MACP, RPQ

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with over 20 years of experience in the helping professions, working alongside children, adults, families, and communities in many different settings. A steady thread through all of this has been supporting people to live in a way that feels more true to them.

My training includes a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, a Master of Education in Adult Education, and a background in early childhood education and child development. This combination helps me understand how patterns often begin early on, how adults actually learn and change, and how to tailor therapy to the way each person processes information.

Over the years I’ve taught and supported future helpers, co‑founded a nature‑based retreat space, led teams in international community work, and facilitated groups for parents and families. These experiences shape the way I sit with people now: attentive to both mind and body, respectful of culture and context, and always collaborating with you rather than talking at you.

If you’re looking for therapy that feels warm, grounded, and genuinely interested in your whole story, you’re welcome to learn more about how I work.

Ways to Work Together

Support can look different depending on your needs, comfort, and season of life. These are a few ways we can work together.

""

Virtual Therapy

Video or phone sessions offer a flexible way to access support from the comfort of your own space — or, if it feels right, while spending time outside in nature.
(Available anywhere in Ontario.)

""

Walk and Talk Therapy

For some people, being outdoors and moving gently can create a more grounded and spacious way to talk, reflect, and process.
(Available in Kimberley, Ontario.)

""

Paddle and Talk Therapy

Seasonal sessions that combine time on the water with therapeutic conversation in a calming, nature‑based setting.

*For safety, participants need to be comfortable in and around water and able to swim.
(Available in Kimberley, Ontario.)

Wilderness Psychotherapy

Being in nature can soften the pressure, slow the pace, and make it easier to show up as you are. This video offers a glimpse of the natural setting for Walk and Talk and seasonal Paddle and Talk sessions near Kimberley, Ontario.

Short-Term Therapy

Short-term therapy offers focused support for a specific challenge, with a small number of sessions used as intentionally as possible. It can be a good fit if you’re looking for something practical, goal‑oriented, and flexible.

You’ll be asked to come in with one clear area of focus so we can use our time collaboratively.

This option centres on:

Focused support for a specific challenge

Practical, solution‑based conversations

Clear goals

Collaborative work toward meaningful change

Short-term therapy is available as a single session, with a limit of up to 4 sessions within a 12‑month period, and can be done by virtual, phone, or in-person wilderness therapy.

Note: These are not a crisis or emergency appointments.

A Few Questions You Might Have

Starting therapy can come with a lot of questions.

Here are a few answers that might help things feel a bit clearer before you reach out.

How do I know if this is the right fit for me?

It may be a good fit if you want a space where you feel understood, respected, and not judged for how you’re coping right now. Sessions are collaborative and down‑to‑earth, with room for both reflection and practical strategies you can use in daily life. A free consultation gives us both a chance to see whether working together feels like a good match.

What can I expect in our first few sessions?

We’ll start by getting to know what’s bringing you here, what life looks like day to day, and what you hope might feel different over time. Together, we’ll shape a flexible plan and check in as we go, rather than following rigid goals. You can expect a mix of conversation, gentle reflection, and practical ideas that feel realistic for your life.

What if I feel nervous, emotional, or unsure what to say?

That’s very common, especially at the beginning. It’s okay to arrive not knowing where to start or to need time to find your words. We can move slowly, pause when needed, and check in about how you’re feeling so sessions stay at a pace that feels manageable.

Will I have to talk about anything I’m not ready for?

No. You’re always in charge of what you share and when. We can acknowledge difficult topics and approach them gradually, or focus first on what feels most comfortable right now. My role is to offer support, information, and options — not to push you into places you don’t feel ready to go.

What are Walk and Talk / Paddle and Talk sessions like?

These sessions combine therapy with gentle movement and time in nature. We’ll agree on a route or space that feels comfortable, with the option to slow down, sit, or adjust as needed. For some people, walking or being on the water helps them settle and open up; for others, video or phone sessions feel better. We can discuss what works best for you.

What if I invest in therapy and I’m not sure it’s helping?

It’s okay to bring that concern into session. We can talk openly about what feels helpful, what doesn’t, and what you might like to change. Part of our work is checking in about your experience and adjusting the focus, pacing, or tools we’re using — and, if needed, exploring other supports or referrals.
